Advanced Flying School (India) - Ambala c1949.
The AFSI traces its origin from the No.1 FTS at Risalpur that was formed in 1939 that later morphed into the SFTS at Ambala. It was redesignated No.1 Air Force Academy and later moved to Begumpet. It was later merged with No.2 AFA and the Air Force Flying College at Jodhpur came into establishment. The AFFC was moved to Dunidgal as the Air Force Academy later on.
