No.127 Helicopter Unit First Ranas Motto : Undaunted Undettered Date Raised : 1985-06-10 127 HU was raised on 10 Jun 1985 at AF Station Hindan under the command of Wg Cdr FH Major. It was the first Units to be equipped with the latest Mi-17 helicopters and accepted the challenging task of providing communication and logistics support to the outposts in the snow capped Himalayas.
